My Conference Predictions

ACC:
Florida St: FSU has more talent than the rest of the ACC. They draw Duke and Virginia out of the Coastal division which gives them an extremely easy schedule. Their only test will be when they host Oklahoma September 17th.

Dark Horse: Duke- Don't laugh. I'm serious! This Duke program(3-9 last year) have the most talented team yet! A winning record and a bowl game are finally in reach, especially because of the weak Coastal Division.

Big East:
Champ: West Virginia: West Virginia led the Big East in points allowed and total defense and not much of a drop off is expected. Despite losing Rich Rodriguez, the Mountaineers will still have a good offense under Dana Holgorsen.

Dark Horse: Syracuse: Syracuse went from 4-8 to 8-5 in just one season. Their main problem was that they couldn't win at home, with a record of 2-4. Expect them to take care of their home turf in 2011.

Big Ten:
Champ: Wisconsin: After beating the Buckeyes 31-18 and splitting the big ten title in 2010, the Badgers proved their worthiness of the title. Expect them to win it in 2011, and make a run for the BCS Championship game also.

Dark Horse: Northwestern: Last year they were 7-3 with an unhealthy Dan Persa. If he stays healthy, expect the Wildcats to have an even better record.

Big 12:
Champ: Oklahoma: With an easy Big 12 schedule, and the Longhorns struggling, the Sooners will easily cruise past the Big 12, and into a BCS Bowl Game.

Dark Horse: Iowa State: The Cyclones were 5-4 last year before dropping their final three games. With a weak Big 12, expect the Cyclones to finish in the top 5 and get a bid to the bowl game.

Conference USA:
Champ- Houston Cougars: With Quarterback Case Keenum healthy, the Cougars are favorites to win the conference.

Dark Horse: SMU: The Mustangs have improved greatly over the off-season, and have 18 starters back for 2011.

Independent:
Champ-Notre Dame: The Fighting Irish have a good Quarterback(Dayne Crist) and an even better receiver(Michael Floyd) along with a good defense. Expect Notre Dame to roll to a bowl game with about 7 or 8 wins.

Dark Horse-Army: Despite having few home games, the Black Knights have many games against teams out of the MAC Conference, which gives them an easy schedule.

MAC:
Champ-Toledo: With 17 starters returning from a team that went 7-1 in the MAC last season, the Rockets will cruise to the title with a huge amount of experience.

Dark Horse- Miami(Ohio) Redhawks: After coming off a season in which the Redhawks pulled off the biggest turnaround in history(1-11 in 2009, 10-4 in 2010) expect Miami to do even better than 2010.

Mountain West:
Champ-Boise St: With an easy schedule in the Mountain West, Boise St. should easily cruise to a MWC Championship and a BCS Bowl Game.

Dark Horse- TCU: Despite losing star Andy Dalton, the Horned Frogs still have quite a few starters returning along with a good coaching staff. Expect them to contend for the MWC title.

PAC-12:
Champ-Oregon: With a good amount of returning starters and Coach Chip Kelly running the show, the Ducks should win the PAC-12 Championship.

Dark Horse-Utah: The Utes may have been overrated in 2010, but now that they're underdogs in 2011, expect them to play with a chip on their shoulder and put up a good fight every game.

SEC:
Champ-LSU: Coming off an 11 win season, and with an amazing recruiting class, the Tigers should win the SEC.

Dark Horse-Florida: The Gators had a decent season last year, but Coach Will Muschamp will have them ready for the SEC.

Sun Belt:
Champ- Troy: The Trojans have earned a share in the conference championship in each of the last five seasons. Don't expect 2011 to be any different.

Dark Horse- North Texas: The Mean Green are 8-40 in the past  four seasons, but Coach Dan McCarney will lead them to a winning record in 2011.

WAC:
Champs- Hawaii: The Warriors led the nation in passing offense in 2010, and with their Quarterback(Brian Moniz) returning in 2011, expect Hawaii to win the Championship in it's final season in the WAC

Dark Horse- Louisiana Tech: Despite a weak defense, the Bulldogs went 5-7 last year. Expect them to improve that defense in 2011, and get a big to a bowl game.
